Hello, we are Matthew and Joanna! We are so excited that you are reading this. Thank you for reading our story and considering us as prospective parents.

Our love story started on Halloween of 2011 during a party Joanna, and her sisters threw. We talked the entire evening, and Joanna was clever enough to get Matt's number. One day after the Halloween party, we met with a group at a local movie theatre. It was thereafter he heard her laugh at one of his jokes, that Matt fell in love and knew he wanted to marry Joanna. As the eldest daughter of a family with seven children, I spent most of my teen years caring for children. In addition to my own family, I babysat children from other families. Spending so much time taking care of kids taught me patience. Children enjoy sharing their lives, and it means a lot to them when you listen; they are very curious and need gentle direction when they make mistakes. Being around my nieces and nephews has reinforced how much I enjoy being with children.

Matt is quite a thoughtful and funny guy. No matter what, he always finds a way to make me laugh. When I see him interact with our nieces and nephews, I do not doubt that he would make a great father. They have a lot of fun playing with Matt; he listens to them and answers their infinite questions. When it comes to Christmas shopping for them, he loves picking out the presents.

I can tell that Matt will be a very hands-on father; he is personable and can't wait to shower them with plenty of his attention. I know he will derive great joy in being a father to a child.

We live in a blue Cape Cod, in a rural neighborhood of a quiet town. It's an older house with three bedrooms and one bathroom. The home sits on a half acre of land, with a large fenced-in backyard. The upstairs has two bedrooms with a connecting closet in between the two. The rest of the house is on the first level. There is an unfinished basement, and it's used for storage and laundry.

The neighborhood we live in is one of the oldest neighborhoods in a town on the eastern shore. This is a quiet, rural neighborhood, and each house has a decent-sized yard. We live close to the...

We are fortunate to live close to each of our families. Since we have nieces and nephews on both sides that we regularly see, a child we adopt would grow up with many cousins/playmates. They are so much fun to spend time with the oldest is in elementary school, and the youngest is almost a year old.

Most of them see each other regularly and get along well. Holidays are busy as we make time for both sides of the family. Both of our parents' houses are always full of people enjoying each other's company. Joanna's side can be incredibly chaotic as there are a large number of people...

We love traveling to places local, out-of-state, and international. Learning about other cultures and places is fun and important to us. On our international trips, we've been lucky to visit Canada, South America, and many Caribbean Islands. Within the States, we've explored places such as Ocean City, Gettysburg, Antietam, Baltimore, Salem, Lancaster, Philly, Hershey, and Washington D.C. We also enjoy exploring historical sites.

Disney is an important place for our family-we were engaged there after all-and we've been multiple times. Most of the time, we enjoy driving to Disney...
